The other morning after spending several hours putting together a study on my computer, I stepped away, only to realize that when I returned everything I had done was erased. However, no time to fix it, I was off to the hospital with my wife for a appointment following her bone marrow transplant. The news was good, however, when we got our car, the battery was dead and we waited over an hour to get it started.
Far too often we get the idea that God is against us. Like some heavenly brute He is looking down from heaven just waiting to pounce on us when we make a mistake. Nothing could be further from the truth! In Romans 8:31 we read that "God is for us!"
It's been said that, "sex is like a great river that is rich and deep and good as long as it stays within its proper channel. However, if it overflows its banks it becomes destructive!"
This weekend I had the privilege of being involved in a purity conference for our youth. What a blessing to be in sanctuary full of teenagers making a commitment to be sexually pure until they are married.
